FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS brings joy to the winter season with numerous festive wintertime activities.  Drive around and look at the beautiful Residential Christmas Lighting Displays – try to guess the winners before they are announced in the Chewelah newspaper.  

Stroll in the crisp snow on Main Street and Park Street (Hwy 395) to see the beautiful light displays along Chewelah Downtown and Chewelah City Park.  

Attend Santa Social, a family-friendly event, the first Friday of each December.  The Santa Social includes a visit and a gift from Santa, delicious cookies, punch and warm coffee, a comfy ride on a horse drawn sleigh, plus tap-your-toes and sing along to songs & entertainment by the Gess Elementary Choir and others.
