Celebrating our 40th Year!
* Thursday, July 11th, is Chewelah Day with limited food and craft vendors.

We are proud to announce Sunday's Main Event (2:30p - 4:30p)
Allen Stone
The Chewelah-grown mega-talent will help us celebrate Chataqua's 40th Year!

Chataqua – one of the oldest and longest running festivals in eastern Washington – swells Chewelah’s population to from 40,000 to 60,000 people or more the second full weekend of July (see schedule below.)  The fun-filled activities are designed to please every member of the family; young and old alike. Come and Enjoy everything from carnival rides to a parade, food and merriment, free stage entertainment, sports and shopping…just to name a few!

The festival officially opens** on Friday and ends on Sunday evening. Chewelah City Park is a beautiful venue filled with tasty and affordable food booths with picnic area, talented art and craft vendors, exciting carnival rides, talented entertainers, and a comfortable beer garden, centrally located in the shade next to the creek. People get together to visit with new and old friends, enjoy a bite or a cool beverage, listen to or watch the free CenterStage entertainment, or shop till they drop! Buy handcrafted arts & crafts from the artists who actually make them; observe some of the artists creating their masterpieces and chat with them about their work.

Parents enjoy working with their children on projects at the Children's Pavilion, hosted by Chewelah's Arts Guild. People smile and laugh while they tap their toes, dance on the lawn, or sit in the shade while they enjoy the talented entertainer at the free CenterStage open-air theatre in the park. Looking for sports? Enjoy activities at the Chewelah Golf & Country Club, run in the Chataqua Fun Run, watch or play a base ball tournament, or participate in one of the other many community events.

If you have any questions about this event please email: info@chewelahchataqua.com or call (509) 935-8991.
